2016 has been a memorable one for Presha, and after bringing the likes of Paleman, Woz, Troy Gunner, Gatto Fritto, Private Agenda and Lamont to Guildford it's our pleasure to announce both MELE and MELLA DEE will be playing our Christmas show! Once again we’ll be taking over Rubix for the last Thursday of term, this time continuing until 3am. It’s shaping up to be a special night to top off what has been a huge calendar year for Presha.

LINE UP:

MELÉ

Melé creates euphoric high-octane dance music inspired by his love of Brazilian beats, transatlantic hip hop and classic house music. The boy from the Wirral started young, learning to DJ aged 13; a decade on and he’s honed his skills and his 2015 tribal anthem ‘Ambience’ kick started his status as one of the new names to watch for in 2016. Melé’s energetic and unique percussive sound has gained him prolific support and recognition from some of the biggest names across the scene: Eats Everything, Patrick Topping, Tiga and Jackmaster to Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Disclosure, thus his tracks are becoming instantly recognisable in clubs across the world.

With forthcoming releases signed to Eats Everything’s sought after Edible imprint and the legendary house label Defected Records, the young producer continues to DJ around the world, supported by his regular DJ mix series Melé’s Manor Rhythms which have continued to grow his following purely from his impeccable ability and flair behind the decks as the perfect on-point party curator.

MELLA DEE

We are happy to announce Ryan Aitchison, aka Mella Dee as our first special guest! Mella Dee masterfully creates a unique blend of driving techno by fusing elements of house with 90’s hardcore and jungle influences. With solid releases on Sweden based Omena Records, UK label Lobster Boy Records and in particular his latest offering on DEXT Recordings, ‘Deep Soul’, Mella Dee has gained huge support across club and radio from key protagonists such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Bicep, Skream, Annie Mac, George Fitzgerald and Maya Jane Coles.

Following the success of his ‘Deep Soul' EP, Mella Dee’s ’Take Control’ is out exclusively on Dusky's '17 Steps’ label on 3rd June, as part of a project the duo have curated featuring tracks from Lo Shea, Hugo Massien, Trevino, Alan Fitzpatrick, Dusky themselves and more.

Aitchison’s breadth of musical knowledge and technical skills set him apart behind the decks, with festival appearances lined up throughout the summer, including a set on the epic Arcadia spider alongside Carl Cox, Heidi, Daniel Avery, Eats Everything and Alan Fitzpatrick at Glastonbury 2016 and several exciting high profile releases confirmed to follow.
